Mix It Up at Lunch with 5th and 6th Grade

On Tuesday November 17, 2009, Bell Oaks school counselors

Mrs. Sokolic and Mrs. Warrington and the students in

5th and 6th grade, participated in Mix It Up at Lunch. This event

was part of American Education Week that was celebrated at Bell

Oaks Schools. Mix It Up at Lunch is a national event that

supports young people who want to challenge the social climate of

their school. The purpose of the event is for students to expand

their circle of friends by sitting with people they do not normally

sit with at lunch. The participating 5th and 6th graders wore Mix

It Up stickers during the event and enjoyed meeting new people

and making new friends.
