Here at Bellmawr Park Elementary we believe that being physically active is a great thing! Not only does it improve our health, but also our attitudes, ability to work in the classroom and self-esteem. To increase physical activity and a love of fitness we have implemented a new program called the "Feelin’ Good Mileage Club".

The club is voluntary and non-competitive. The students are able to walk or run as many laps during recess as they would like. The club takes place every Tuesday and Thursday, weather permitting. Every time the students complete a lap they turn their mileage tracker card over to one of our great parent volunteers who gives them a hole punch. Eight laps on our course equals one mile. After three miles, students receive a special reward called a toe token.

The students have impressed me with how hard they are working to achieve their goal. I am very proud of all of you that have been participating and encourage and invite any new walkers. Thank you to all of the parent volunteers that have been helping assist with this program.
