Students were reminded to obtain and use a library card during a visit from the Bellmawr Public Librarian.
 

Dear Bellmawr Families,

    Summertime is here! We wanted to remind everyone that now is the time for your child to begin participating in the Summer Reading Program. All he or she needs to do is select two titles from the appropriate list and read them at some point this summer.  You may choose to purchase the books for your child, or go to the Bellmawr Public Library where they will be happy to help you find them!

Once your child reads each book, he or she will need to complete a "shell" for it.  You will find two shells below on the website. Your signature is required on each one and if your child needs assistance, please feel free to help them out.  During the first week of school in September, your child will need to return these shells to school.

This year, we are also encouraging the children to read the appropriate "One Book New Jersey" selection as one of their two books.  For Pre-K through 2nd , the book is Art by Patrick McDonnell, and for 3rd and 4th grades it is Marley: A Dog Like No Other by John Grogan.  For more information about One Book NJ, go to www.onebooknewjersey.org/ .

The local Bellmawr Branch of the Camden County Library System has a weekly summer reading activity time to help you with your summer reading.  To find out more about this program or other programs at the town library go to http://bellmawr.camden.lib.nj.us/ .
