A Message from Mr. Farinelli, Principal

Mr. Farinelli, Principal

Welcome back Bell Oaks’ parents, guardians, and family members – we look forward to a successful 2024-25 school year!  Please know that we will continue to do our best to ensure that each child’s educational and emotional needs are met while upholding high expectations in a constantly changing world around us.

The Bell Oaks Middle School has a staff of dedicated educators who are committed to educating the whole student through an environment that promotes an open line of communication with the entire school community. The commitment of each of the staff members involves the goal of making each child’s experience challenging, safe, enjoyable and well rounded. At The Bell Oaks Middle School, academic and physical needs go hand in hand with each student’s self-esteem and confidence.

Our focus on the academic development of our students can be seen in the day-to-day activities that take place at our site. Some of our new instructional initiatives include, but are not limited to the following: One to One Laptop initiative now in place for all of our students.  The Chromebook that each child will be given in early September will be permitted to go home, except on weekends.  Our schedule for each student has been developed to maximize each day, keeping in mind our need for rigorous instruction that is differentiated and reaches students of all different learning styles.  We will continue with our SEL/Character Education programs, with a keen eye on addressing the issues that currently shape our society and their impact on our youth.  We are embarking on our third year of implementing our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) Program that seeks to highlight and recognize positive student behavior.  Our School Store serves as the backbone of this program’s recognition.  We will also be implementing the First Step program during our Academic Lab period along with other SEL initiatives.

Please make note that our annual Back to School Night event will be held on the night of October 10, 2024.  More information will follow once the school year begins.

The Bell Oaks Middle School will continue to strive to give our students the best education possible – and we encourage all parents and community members to become involved in our school community! If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to contact our office.  Thank you to all parents and family members for your support.  Best of luck as we start the new school year!
